Top fragrances for him

So Valentines Day is around the corner and this post might just come in useful for all of you wanting to go that extra mile.
Fragrances are probably the most traditional thing (and flowers) to buy someone for Valentines Day, whether you plan ahead and get them something special or even if it’s a last minute buy, you can’t really go wrong with a bit of smelly! I personally LOVE receiving perfume throughout the year whether that’s my birthday or Christmas, I just think it’s a nice gift that someones put extra thought into. Don’t get me wrong, it’s probably the hardest thing to buy, but yet we do it every year!

I’ve included a little atomiser in this blog post because I just think they’re great, I got Matt one a couple of Christmas’s ago and it was such a good idea, he travels with work so its really handy for him to put that in his hand luggage and freshen up when he wants to and it’s compatible with almost every fragrance out there. I treated myself to one aswell and I just keep it in my bag if I want to re-spritz throughout the day, so if you don’t have one, invest. There’s nothing worse than carrying a big, heavy bottle in your handbag or in your gym bag and getting shoulder pains and back ache! You can buy just the normal Travalo here or The Fragrance Shop do the same but in a different style here. << Marble and Rose Gold mmmmmm, LOVE ♥♥♥♥♥♥

Earlier on, I went digging through Matts fragrance collection and discovered the best smelling products I ever did smell (is it bad that when I tested these I spritzed myself with a couple? Does anyone else do this with mens aftershave?) Some of these are his best ones that he’ll wear every now and again for a nice occasion and some are just used daily.

  • Armani Code Profumo
  • Armani Diamonds
  • Gucci Guilty
  • Ralph Lauren Red Intense
  • Zara Man Uomo

Can I just say aswell that if you’re working on a budget and don’t want to get him anything expensive… Go to Zara because their fragrances are to die for! Both Mens and Ladies are really nice, I think they’re copies of well known brands and they are ridiculously cheap for a good size bottle.

Armani Code Profumo – I bought this for Matt for Christmas and I think the biggest size bottle was on offer in Boots. I’m sure it worked out that it was cheaper than the middle size, so it was really good value for money. I don’t know what else to say except for it’s a really manly smell, quite woody and fresh.

Armani Diamonds – I think this is a classic, it’s just ‘fresh out the shower’ in a bottle, it’s citrus and minty fresh.

Gucci  Guilty – Floral and sensual, with orange blossom and patchouli.

Ralph Lauren – After smelling them all, I think this is my fave, it smells so great on. I like sweet smelling fragrances and this offers just that with a hint of spice. Notes of saffron, grapefruit and cedarwood.

Zara Man Uomo –  This reminds me of Paco Rabanne 1 million, and for all of you who’s smelt the real thing know how good it actually is. Its so popular and I think in general, probably the best selling fragrance to date, so why not get it cheaper? Might not last as long as the real McCoy, but its definitely worthy!

Let me know if you get any or already have and what you think? Or any others that you recommend… I’d love to know!
